Terms of Service for Glimpse

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Glimpse desktop application ("Glimpse", the "Service"), provided by Teal Robot ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Glimpse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Glimpse.

1. The Service

Glimpse is a desktop application that records your screen, camera, microphone, and system audio and lets you upload the resulting recordings to a YouTube channel you control, using Google and YouTube APIs.

2. Your Google and YouTube accounts

To upload, you connect your own Google account and authorize Glimpse to access your YouTube channels and upload videos on your behalf. You are responsible for your Google account and for complying with the Google Terms of Service and the YouTube Terms of Service. Glimpse uses YouTube API Services; your use of those features is subject to YouTube's terms. Glimpse is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You retain all ownership of the recordings you create with Glimpse.
You are solely responsible for the content you record and upload, including having the rights and permissions to record any people, screens, audio, or materials shown, and to publish them.
You agree not to use Glimpse to record or upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or that violates the rights of others or the policies of YouTube or Google.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its authentication systems; using it to violate any law; or using it in a way that violates the Google API Services User Data Policy or YouTube's terms and policies.

5. Privacy

Your use of Glimpse is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Glimpse is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that recordings will always upload successfully.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teal Robot will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, recordings, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of Glimpse.

8. Termination

You may stop using Glimpse at any time by disconnecting your account(s) and uninstalling the app. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of Glimpse after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
